Brain (Non Representational Art)

“Brain” is the title of my non-representative art that invites the viewers to make their own perception of how they want to see the artwork as a whole. The title “Brain” is intentionally put to allow the audience to imagine what they want to imagine in the painting. This will also allow the viewers to try and imagine another picture or another figure of what the painting could represent.

My main reference for this painting is the abstract movement of the brush while using the colour that corresponds how I feel while listening to classical song. I paint this in the black side of a ¼ illustration board in order to see if there would be a contrast on how my painting would look. The painting were made through spontaneous application of the chosen colours and strokes of the brush.

This work engages us to see the bigger picture and imagine what it can transform with just the spontaneous strokes of the brush. This is a work that shows the different perspective of people and how they view one’s art and how they perceive it.
